Ep. 233 – 2022-1019 – WK7 REVIEW
Review of week 7, we still have trouble with how to say Elon from time to time, putting the wrong emphasis on the wrong syllable but anyway Idaho takes back the Little Brown Stein and parties like it’s 1999 while SDSU may have just locked up the #1 spot in the nation and the seed race.
AGS Poll: Week 7 Top 25 Results
After a few pretty calm weeks we finally got the AGS Top 25 shook up a bit with 2 losses amongst the top 3 teams last week and 5 losses overall amongst last week’s top 25. For the first time this season there was a change at the top as South Dakota State assumed the #1 spot following their road victory at previous #1 NDSU. Sacramento State moved up a couple spots to #2 – their highest ranking ever in the AGS Poll. They were followed by Big Sky brethren Weber State and Montana State who moved up to #3 and #4, respectively. North Dakota State slid down to #5 following their loss to SDSU.
Other teams on the rise this week were led by Idaho who shot up 12 spots to come from the “others receiving votes” last week all the way up to #18 after upsetting previously #3 ranked Montana in Missoula. This is the Vandals first appearance in the AGS Top 25 since the spring 2021 season. Rhode Island also used a big win over CAA league-mate Elon to get back into the top 25 coming in at #22. Other than those two and the aforementioned Weber State (who moved up 3 spots) nobody moved up more than 2 spots from last week’s poll.
The teams moving down were headlined by Montana who dropped 5 spots to #8 following their aforementioned loss to Idaho. Elon took a 7-spot tumble to #21 after their loss to Rhode Island. Villanova dropped out of the top 25 after losing to Richmond on Saturday ending their streak of top 25 appearances at 45 (started in week 1 of the 2019 season). Eastern Kentucky also fell back out of the top 25 after dropping a game to Sam Houston on Saturday.
In terms of conference representation the Big Sky and CAA led the way each placing 5 teams into the top 25. They were followed by the MVFC and SOCON with 4 each and the Patriot League, OVC, and Southland who each put 2 teams into the top 25. There were 8 conferences represented in this week’s AGS Top 25.

Ep. 232 – 2022-1014 – WK7 PREVIEW
#1 vs. #2 is the big preview of week 7 and Lance and Kris go over some great early playoff looks via the road that certain teams still need to endure and overcome. Somehow Kris found a way to bring 50 First Dates in to this week’s podcast. He is apparently a huge Adam Sandler movie fan.
Ep. 231 – 2022-1013 – WK6 REVIEW
Lance gets back from his trip to Maine and the fellers get the Week 6 review rolled out going over a few games and then capping that off with the AGS Poll and just some general knowledge on which teams might need a bit more respect from voters going forward.
AGS Poll: Week 6 Top 25 Results
Week 6 is in the books and a couple interesting results shook things up a bit amongst the AGS Top 25 but things stayed relatively calm once again. William & Mary led the charge of teams moving up rising 6 spots to #11 after a huge win over CAA heavyweight Delaware. Furman moved up 5 spots to get back into the top 25 at #23 and Fordham made their first appearance in the AGS Top 25 since the 2017 preseason poll coming in at #24.
As for teams moving down Delaware dropped 6 spots to #12 following their aforementioned loss to William & Mary. Southeastern Louisiana plummeted 11 spots to #22 after being upset by Texas A&M-Commerce who is in the first year of their D1 transition. Missouri State and Eastern Washington each fell out of the top 25 after each took their 4th straight loss on Saturday.
In terms of conference representation, the CAA led the way placing 5 teams into the top 25. They were followed by the Big Sky, MVFC, and SOCON with 4 each and the Patriot League, OVC, and Southland with 2 teams each in the top 25. Once again 9 conferences were represented in the AGS Top 25.
