There are some great Week 11 reviews for pivotal games and as there should be, a lot of playoff talk and ruminations with that time of the year upon us. Great back and forth with the guys on merits of team on the bubble. Worth your time every time Kris and Lance go head to head on a topic.
AGS Poll: Week 11 Top 25 Results
Four ranked vs ranked matchups shook up the AGS Top 25 in week 11 but with less than a week until Selection Sunday the status quo was maintained for the most part. The top 5 went unchanged with South Dakota State, Sacramento State, Montana State, North Dakota State, and Incarnate Word in that order #1-#5.
Teams on the rise were led by a trio of teams – Furman, Richmond, and Montana – who each moved up 3 spots to #10-#12, respectively, after picking up big wins on Saturday. Elon took advantage of some turmoil in front of them to move up 5 spots to #13. North Dakota also made a 3 spot jump to #16. UC Davis used their upset over Idaho to get back into the top 25 for the first time since week 3 coming in at #23.
Teams falling this week were headlined by SOCON league-mates Chattanooga and Mercer who fell 4 and 5 spots to #14 and #17, respectively. Idaho plummeted 9 spots to #21 following their aforementioned loss to UC Davis. Princeton dropped out of the top 25 after taking their first of the 2022 season at the hands of Yale.
In terms of conference representation the Big Sky and CAA led the way each putting 6 teams into the top 25. They were followed by the SOCON with 4, the MVFC with 3, and the Patriot and Southland who each had 2 teams in the top 25. Eight conferences were represented in this week’s AGS Top 25.
