AGS Poll: Week 11 Top 25 Results

Four ranked vs ranked matchups shook up the AGS Top 25 in week 11 but with less than a week until Selection Sunday the status quo was maintained for the most part. The top 5 went unchanged with South Dakota State, Sacramento State, Montana State, North Dakota State, and Incarnate Word in that order #1-#5.

Teams on the rise were led by a trio of teams – Furman, Richmond, and Montana – who each moved up 3 spots to #10-#12, respectively, after picking up big wins on Saturday. Elon took advantage of some turmoil in front of them to move up 5 spots to #13. North Dakota also made a 3 spot jump to #16. UC Davis used their upset over Idaho to get back into the top 25 for the first time since week 3 coming in at #23.

Teams falling this week were headlined by SOCON league-mates Chattanooga and Mercer who fell 4 and 5 spots to #14 and #17, respectively. Idaho plummeted 9 spots to #21 following their aforementioned loss to UC Davis. Princeton dropped out of the top 25 after taking their first of the 2022 season at the hands of Yale.

In terms of conference representation the Big Sky and CAA led the way each putting 6 teams into the top 25. They were followed by the SOCON with 4, the MVFC with 3, and the Patriot and Southland who each had 2 teams in the top 25. Eight conferences were represented in this week’s AGS Top 25.

In this episode, at certain times it might sound like the fellers are playing ROCK ‘EM SOCK ‘EM ROBOTS with their mics…I think that is just an auditory oddity but I can not vouch for that. They will knock your block off with content though so buckle up for the preview fun for week 11.

Delaware, Elon, Furman, Mercer, NDSU, SIU, Idaho, UC Davis, and several other teams needing a win in big games are going on this coming week.

AGS Poll: Week 10 Top 25 Results

It was a pretty quiet week 10 in the AGS Top 25 with only one loss amongst last week’s top 25 to lower/unranked teams. The top 4 remained the same once again with South Dakota State, Sacramento State, Montana State, and North Dakota State in that order. Incarnate Word moved up a spot to get back into the top 5 rounding it out at #5.

There wasn’t much for teams moving up this week. Idaho improved on their all-time high in the AGS Poll moving up 2 spots to #11. North Dakota and Fordham also both made modest 2 spot gains to #19 and #23, respectively. Southeast Missouri State moved up 3 spots to #20. Princeton made the first appearance by an Ivy League team in the AGS Top 25 this season moving in at #25.

As for teams going in the opposite direction Mercer and Jackson State each slid down a couple spots to #12 and #16, respectively. New Hampshire dropped 4 spots to #21 following a tight loss to #14 Richmond. Tennessee-Martin dropped out of the top 25 for the first time this season after being upset by Kennesaw State.

In terms of conference representation the CAA led the way again placing 6 teams into the top 25. They were followed by the Big Sky with 5, the SOCON with 4, the MVFC 3, and the Patriot and Southland who each had 2 teams in the top 25. There were 9 conferences were represented in this week’s AGS Top 25.

Sac wins big again, Montana shows vulnerabilities again to lose another heartbreaker, Furman gets a very legit win, and Holy Cross may be setting themselves up for a very high seed in the playoffs with their latest win.  A quick run down of the AGS Poll as per usual.  Were-Rabbits?  They were #1 according to Kris Wallace & Lance Gromit.

AGS Poll: Week 9 Top 25 Results

Five ranked vs ranked matchups and eight losses amongst last week’s top 25 shook up the AGS Poll in week 9. The top 5, however, stayed unchanged with South Dakota State maintaining its #1 position for the 3rd straight week. Once again, they were followed by Sacramento State, Montana State, North Dakota State, and Weber State at #2-#5, respectively.

Teams climbing the rankings this week were led by Furman who vaulted up 10 spots to #12 after a big win over SOCON rival Chattanooga. Mercer and North Dakota took advantage of some losses in front of them to move up 4 spots each to #10 and #21, respectively. Elon used a convincing win over previously top 10 ranked Delaware to move back into the top 25 coming in at #18.

The teams falling this week were headlined by Chattanooga who dropped 4 spots to #11 following their aforementioned loss to Furman. Montana took another 5 spot dip to #16 following their 3rd straight loss. Delaware and Southeast Missouri State each fell 8 spots to #18 and #23, respectively, after taking losses on Saturday. Rhode Island continued their roller coaster ride dropping 6 spots to #24 after being edged by William & Mary. Southern Illinois fell out of the top 25 after being upset for the 2nd straight week.

In terms of conference representation the CAA led the way placing 6 teams into the top 25. They were followed by the Big Sky with 5, the SOCON with 4, the MVFC with 3, and the Patriot, OVC, and Southland who each put 2 teams into the top 25. Once again 8 conferences were represented in the top 25.

The upcoming week has so many great and important matchups and Lance & Kris go over the best of the best for the immediate future. The show ends in a fashion of truncation but Kris gave me a good chuckle and an idea for the outro. The mishaps can be too much fun for me to discard at times. Well done fellas.

AGS Poll: Week 8 Top 25 Results

Multiple ranked vs ranked matchups in week 8 meant there were 7 losses amongst last week’s AGS Top 25 that shook up this week’s set of rankings quite a bit. South Dakota State and Sacramento State maintained their positions at #1 and #2, respectively, for the second straight week. Montana State moved up a spot to #3 after a thrilling win over Weber State. Idle North Dakota State moved up a spot to #4 and Weber State dropped two spots down to #5.

The teams moving up this week were led once again by Idaho who climbed another 5 spots to #13 as their winning streak reached 5. Rhode Island moved up 4 spots to #18 after winning a 7-overtime thriller over Monmouth. New Hampshire climbed back into the top 25 coming in at #19 after starting their CAA schedule 5-0 and hammering Elon last Saturday.

As for teams going in the other direction Mercer fell 5 spots to #14 after getting dropped by #7 Chattanooga. Southern Illinois tumbled 7 spots down to #21 after being upset by South Dakota. Their MVFC league-mate North Dakota fell 6 spots, barley hanging in at #25, after losing to top ranked SDSU. Elon dropped out of the top 25 after losing their 2nd straight game.

In terms of conference representation the Big Sky and CAA led the way each placing 5 teams into the top 25. They were followed by the MVFC and SOCON with 4 each and the OVC, Patriot League, and Southland who each put 2 teams into the top 25. 8 conferences were represented in the top 25 this week.
